The Wait Is Almost Over , New Dodge Charger Daytona 2025 Will Be Introduced on March 5.

The wait is almost over as the successor to the Dodge Challenger will be unveiled next month.

Following the demise of the Charger and Challenger, Dodge was transformed into a crossover-only brand. This is a surprising development, but this will not last for long.

According to Automotive News, the highly anticipated Charger Daytona will be introduced on March 5. The news was apparently announced by Dodge’s Matt McAlear at the JD Power Auto Summit.

Dodge/SRT’s senior vice president of sales and marketing reportedly described the car as the “next-generation muscle car.” Saying that the company is trying to “set a new bar”, the official noted that the production model will closely reflect the concept introduced in 2022.

This isn’t much of a surprise, as the teaser photos reveal a familiar-looking muscle car. However, the production model has a number of changes such as modified bumpers, larger mirrors and revised lighting units. The road model also features new door handles, a thicker B-pillar and a more angular license plate recess.

Speaking at the launch of the concept, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said the production EV will be launched with three different power levels ranging up to an 800V Banshee propulsion system. The latter promises to be “faster than the Hellcat in all key performance metrics.” The company also stated that “the standard all-wheel drive system is key to going beyond Hellcat performance while also adapting to all weather conditions.”

At the time, Kuniskis stated that Dodge was in the process of developing multiple power levels that would be available via Direct Connect. As a result, the road model is planned to have a total of nine different outputs.
While the concept is electric-only, reports suggest the production model could be offered with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine. The 2025 Ram 1500 has outputs of 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 540 hp (403 kW / 548 PS).

Dodge is remaining tight-lipped, but the Charger Daytona will use the EV-focused STLA Large platform. However, Stellantis has already confirmed that the architecture “supports hybrid and internal combustion drive systems without compromising essential vehicle characteristics.”

If that wasn’t exciting enough, the company hinted that the platform has “extraordinary power-carrying potential to outperform any of the current Hellcat V8s.” This includes “the potential to deliver 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in the 2-second range.”

We can expect to learn more next month, but STLA Large-based EVs will offer 85 to 118 kWh battery packs. This promises to achieve a range of 500 miles (805 km).
