The new generation Mercedes S-class will debut at the end of 2020 and this is certainly good news. The bad news is that in the new generation of the S-class, neither a coupe nor a convertible is expected. These models have fallen victim to lineup optimization. C217 and A217 will be produced in parallel with the new sedan for a couple more years, and then the S-class coupe will finally go down in history.
