The mini-league gives us a chance to spend the evening with seldom used cars and/or seldom used tracks. Ballast is applied to balance the field and provide a more interesting race, forcing drivers to be a little out of their usual comfort zone by pitting them against rivals they don’t normally have to contend with. It’s also an event used to see how new drivers in the club perform / behave.
Cars and tracks are only announced once the server has been spun up, so there is no time to practice or familiarise yourself with the car or tracks. What’s more, they are on a default setup, so everybody is in the same boat.
Club racing rules and standards still apply, but due to the nature of the unknown, things may not always go as planned.
