Sometimes you’ll shoot a great photo of a rare JDM classic – a 1999 Nissan R34 Skyline GTR – but the background will look a little… uninspiring. At least, that was the case with this image. I shot the photo one evening at a local shopping center, but the photo looked very boring. I mean, nobody wants to see a photo of a GTR in a random parking bay.
Therefore, I decided to virtually transport the GTR to somewhere a little more authentic – back to the far east, where the car originally came from. Thanks to the magic of Photoshop, Godzilla is now back in a more familiar world.
Total edit time: just over 1 hour.
Original image was shot on a Canon 6D, with a 24-105 F4 L Series lens and 580EX MK2 flash, and edited in Lightroom CC. The composite was created in Photoshop CC.
